Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently completed hypnotherapy with Deborah for emetophobia. I had been going to Deborah for Reiki for years and thoroughly enjoyed each session and learned a lot about myself. During this time, Deborah helped me to understand how beneficial hypnotherapy can be for phobias. Deborah clearly explained the process to me to ensure I was comfortable with the process and I then committed with excitement to overcoming my phobia.
The hypnosis felt very comfortable and calming yet I felt fully aware of where I was at all times, just in a heightened state of relaxation. We discussed my ideal outcomes of how I’d like my approach to life to look at the end of the process.
We did sessions of hypnotherapy also of psychoanalysis where Deborah assisted me to find the root of the phobia so that it could be processed and cleared.
Throughout the weeks, I also listened to Deborah’s hypnosis recording each night when sleeping and noticed positive changes happening gradually. I also noted any obstacles or challenges that came up during the week so that we could continue to work on those challenges. One of my favourite parts of each session was the check-in at the start where we discussed how my week had gone and what had come up in my life in connection to the fear. Deborah has always been so supportive and has fully tailored each session to what suited me for how I was feeling each week.
Rather than waking up one day noticing the phobia magically gone, it has been a positive gradual process, where I instead have noticed that I feel calm and relaxed in situations where I would have previously felt anxious or triggered. It is all of those tiny positive changes that have added up to help me realise how well hypnotherapy has worked for the phobia I USED to have!
Another positive outcome of the work we’ve done together is that it helped me to also calm anxieties I subconsciously held in other areas of my life which initially were not specifically connected to the phobia but ended up also being improved on as part of the overall process.
We then did a closing session to finalise the process which was so relaxing and also felt so freeing. I am excited to now move on with my life without the phobia.
I have learned so much about myself and about the way the mind works during this process and couldn’t recommend it more.
