Reiki Healing reduces Overwhelm, Stress and Anxiety

Are you experiencing overwhelm, stress, anxiety, fear, feeling disconnected or out of sync? As a Holistic Therapist I use Reiki Healing, here in Dublin (and online), to help women reconnect with themselves.

Reiki helps to clear and re-balance your energy on an emotional, mental, physical and spiritual level. Today we will discuss how you can use Reiki Healing, with me Deborah J in Dublin (and online), to reduce your overwhelm.

Why do we experience overwhelm?

We experience overwhelm, when we either deliberately or unconsciously choose to not deal with life. Whether that’s tasks, chores, emotions, people, financial, health, career, or relationship issues etc.

We choose to stick our head in the sand and hope it will all just go away. But it doesn’t. When we realize this, it feels as though everything has built up and we don’t know how to cope.

Eventually the sock puppet becomes a monster in the closet. We feel too overwhelmed to open the door to see what’s really happening. Paralyzed by fear, emotion and thoughts; we allow the resistance to build up. Before you know it our mental, physical, emotional and even spiritual health has declined.

Why do people use Reiki?

When clients come to me for Reiki Healing, here in Dublin (or online), they are usually at breaking point. They no longer feel able to cope with the everyday. Many are experiencing digestive issues, insomnia (check out this link here for FREE Sleep Meditation), headaches, fear, physical pain, emotional burn out etc.

Why? Because when we ignore energetic symptoms, these become energetic blockages. When we ignore energetic blockages, they begin to manifest as physical dis-ease and dis-harmony. It’s usually only at this point, we begin to listen.

Our Bodies are like a child who is upset; They will scream and shout, turning up the volume, until we pay attention. It is only when the volume is right up, that we drop everything we are doing and say ‘Yes, what’s up? What’s wrong?’. Our bodies, and lives, are no different. Sometimes it takes a physical symptom to make us listen and pay attention. It is the only way our bodies can get us to listen; to ask ‘What’s wrong!?’.

How does Reiki Healing help with this?

Reiki allows us to access these energetic blockages. It operates on an energetic level, the same level that most or all these symptoms begin on.

As we untangle and unblock the energy (like detangling your hair!) it allows for better flow. Releasing this stagnant and old trapped energy, the body comes back more easily into harmony.

To me, Reiki Healing, is like having an energetic shower. You feel cleansed, free, at ease and in flow. Some of the benefits my clients have experienced from Reiki Healing sessions, with me here in Dublin (and online) are;

Can I do Reiki Healing online?

As energy is universal, Reiki is as effective in person as it is online (known as Distance Reiki). You don’t need to be with a person physically to affect their energy. Think about the last phone call or zoom meeting you had, where you left feeling joy, happiness, depletion or fear. It’s all energy. Emotion is simply, E- Motion, Energy- In Motion. Its effects are as potent whether with me in my Therapy Clinic, here in South Dublin Ireland, over a Zoom or on a Phone call. It’s truly a beautiful, and humbling, experience to see the effects of distance Reiki. It makes us realize what incredibly and powerfully energetic beings of light we truly are.

What are the longer term effects of Reiki?  

Long term, Reiki helps us to ground and clear our energy. This allows us to come back into balance and back into flow.

When we are more grounded (check out my FREE grounding meditation here) and in flow, life somehow seems easier. We can react more calmly and appropriately to life and any events, people or situations we find our self challenged with. Our mood affects those around us and so does our energy; when we are more calm, the world around us; our partners, kids, work colleagues, our life in general, we experience as more calm also.

As above so below, as within so without. Our external world is a reflection of what’s happening inside. Experiencing negative events, people or repetitive cycles over and over, is a good indication something inside is asking for your attention. Being gentle, Reiki is a simple yet incredibly effective tool to bring these areas of life back into balance.

Learning Reiki Level One and Two….

Reiki is incredibly effective for overwhelm, it is also a fantastic daily self-care tool. I love teaching my clients Reiki Level One and Two, so they can bring it home with them and use it daily. More and more people are beginning to understand, much like maintenance on a car, prevention is better than cure.  Therefore, introducing regular Reiki Sessions into your life can have profound and life changing effects.

As a Reiki Practitioner and Master I offer one to one healing sessions here in my Therapy Clinic, in South Dublin, Ireland. I also offer Distance Reiki sessions over zoom and phone. As a teacher, I also offer Reiki level One and Two to those interested in learning how to bring the practice into their own lives.

Learning Reiki for yourself means you become self-sufficient and empower your own self-care. This is something I love to see my clients doing. I encourage my clients, when they have been with me for some time, to do a Reiki I and II course. This allows them to learn it for themselves. Meaning they can keep up their self care at home.

We all have the ability to heal ourselves.  Attending somebody like me, for a one to one session or learning Reiki for yourself, this activates your own energy healing; meaning you have the ability to bring calm and balance into your own life.
